Sean Terry put together a program called Flip2Freedom academy, which is a video/mentoring version of his Flip2Freedom podcast. It's basically detailed step by step wholesaling with lots of motivation. There's not as much one-on-one mentoring as I would like, but there's a decent community (not as organized or broad as BP) and coaching webinars every 2 weeks with interactive Q&A.

I'm going to document my progress here, just like David Tower and a few others have done. I hope this will serve as a guide for future BP members to see if it's worth it to sign up.

I figure that the contracts and forms alone are worth the cost of signing up, and we'll see if the videos help as well. From what I've seen from 'gurus', they're heavy on cost and light on content. This seems to be the opposite, heavy on videos and actual content, but lighter on the wallet. The basic plan is $97/month but he has $597/year (cheaper but more up front) or a $997 lifetime membership. I went for the basic plan but I'm going to upgrade once I get a deal.

Sean also just released a program called FreedomLogic, which is a lead tracking, website publishing (and more! but I'm not sure what exactly) software solution. It's free for 30 days and then $97/month after that.

I'm not trying to advertise this program, I just wanted to announce the start of my experience with Flip2Freedom academy for anyone else who is wondering about it. And the website for it is flip2freedomnow.com. Sean uses his 'fear of loss' advertising, so he opens the academy every 6 months for new members, and this is one of those times.

Let me know if you have questions about the content and I'll dig around and see what I can find.

Thank you Richard for sharing your experience with the program, Freedom Logic by Sean Terry. I am very interested in partnering with possibly some of his group and his course. I don't remember Sean Terry ever saying that Wholesaling was easy. In fact, from a number of his pod cast he states that it is a numbers game and requires a lot of time, effort and a lot of energy. He also states that without leads (buyers & seller) constantly coming in, you will not succeed in this game of Wholesaling. I believe Sean states that for every 25 leads you MAY get 1 deal or not!!!! You get the idea marketing is not for the faint of heart. Sean speaks of various methods to constantly use to market and will let you know the methods that will save you man power, however, can cost you big money. Jean also shares the methods that don't cost you money and/or a lot, however, will require a LOT of YOUR manpower "time". Sean addresses a market of folks that really no longer want to be 9 to 5 people. I can certainly appreciate you not being very happy with the dripping, if you will, the releasing of the modules, however, this is what was told would happen, as a result of that particular purchase price. While you really did not need all of that beginning stuff, there are persons that actually do and unfortunately at the lowest price, one is not able to skip to their comfort module. I am very interested in the real estate investment soft ware that Jean offers through his program, after all, it's about getting those leads both buyer and seller, that the business of wholesaling thrives and being able to get information and give accurate information quickly. Of course being organized is really important and I know I certainly could use a good method for keeping up with leads etc. Is there anyone that has actually used the Freedom Logic soft ware? Love to hear your experience with it. Thanks for sharing Richard and I certainly wish you and your wife the very best.

Rea T.

as a Brand new wholesaler who just sent out his first 1500 mailers, I will chime in on this with my (inexperienced) perspective:

    1) Wholesaling is as hard as you want it to be.  All the information you need is on this site (and few other podcasts as well), and in the public library.  It's up to you to take action and in the words of @Michael Quarles fall forward.

    2) Sean's course is as good as you want it to be.  I have no doubt that Flip to Freedom is a terrific recipe for making it big in this industry.  If you have the cash and the will to follow it perfectly i would bet it would be a win.  I have seen most of his uTube videos and there is some good stuff in there wrapped up in an offer to go spend $1000.  The only questions is do you have the burning desire to get your self educated and take action, or do you want it spoon fed by a guru and hope it goes well.

For me BP is the way to go.  The big time guys on this site give back so much its crazy.   If you want it in this world all you have to go do is make it happen, and ask for help.  That said: I will let you know how it goes for me.

First Mr Nicholson, I have very good language skills. This is a forum and if I want to use shorthand, I can do that. If someone doesn't want to work w/me because of me using "u" instead of "you" then their loss! Moving on! And yes I spoke on this subject because I was searching for something on Google and always is their Bigger Pockets with what I see as what've posts. This is my opinion and I have a right too have one.

Look at how I am being beat up on because I have an opinion about a POST! And no I have no affiliation with this Sean Terry, I was just giving my two cents. And yes I came back to this forum because I can. Back years ago it wasn't this bash everything and everybody. I moved on with doing good biz and didn't have time for the forum and now years later, after seeing all the post on Googke and thought I' drop by. I hope I covered everything.  Happy investing!!

I like how he tried so hard to be grammatically correct at the beginning of his post then reverted back to himself. Lol.

Pretty sure everyone was just pointing out that he either didn't read or comprehend the OP. See ya again in a couple years.

    @Dee Jones

Welcome to BP... Personally I think you'll be fine trolling around...

So stick around a little longer and you'll learn that the guys and gals here are more teddy bears than grizzly bears...

Heck I think it took me about 1000 posts to figure things out...

@Michael Quarles are you trying to say I growl like a teddy bear?

    :))

F2F, did I say I don't know the Sean or what he's selling? I don't, but pretty sure, based on the odds, it's going to be insufficient and overpriced by my standards.

Interesting comment by the OP I believe, about moving through modules.

    1. I think $600 is too much for limited content for some system, that seems to be the issue with Sean not staying current, poor information and not having enough content to fill up a full time education schedule. Most want to get into it, move through and finish, we have to stay true to those who want it all now.

    2. RE internet "education" is really a mess, that's what you'll get when there is no standard of materials, where no one has to meet any qualification or experience level to provide materials, the result it is just a market of hype, marketing of systems or niche topics that address more of the "want it now" mentality than those actually interested in learning a business. Most here were driven here by guru propaganda, make big money, etc. they didn't come here because they are investigating an industry to go into business, you're not here because some career counselor advised you to look into real estate!

    3. Gurus are simply filling a perceived need they created, the motives are tainted by the guru and the "student" as to education.

    4. As stated above, the tendency is to jump directly into the good stuff, where the money is made, or so it seems from the hype. Your learning process or anyone's learning process doesn't work that way. Sounds like Sean is taking students through progressive modules building on a foundation of "knowledge" and advancing to more technical aspects. Credit to Sean, this is required to teach. You have to begin in the first grade, no matter how smart you think you are, you cannot begin in graduate school. The "I want it now" bunch want to walk in and sit in graduate school. You might be enlightened as to what 2+2 is, but you won't be learning the subject or increasing your potential.

Wholesaling is not a profession by any definition, it's a niche operation, the idea has been around for hundreds of years, it's not new. The system that is popular has been created by hype by the gurus for the purpose of selling the "how to". The way it is generally taught, getting a contract to assign, is technically illegal and it's unethical, but that won't stop the gurus from selling their ideas as a product or those "I want it now" types with dollar signs in their eyes to buy the product. Step by step wholesaling systems are a very simple product to put together, colored water to heal what ails you. You want money, the gurus hypes it, you buy into it.

Those who are ill prepared will not likely survive, the epidemic! :)

@Bill Gulley I am completely new to real estate and I'm in search of some guidance. How, exactly is wholesaling real estate illegal? I'm in Alabama, having trouble finding a potential mentor, so an educator /guru seems like my next best option.
