Hey Everybody! I’m pretty new to ai but i have been experimenting to create flyers and social media posts to bring attention to some of my lenders loan products. I was wondering what ones do you all like to use? It still takes me a pretty long time to create a flyer lol, even with using Adobes Ai or canva’s…Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

My two cents.  AI is great for graphics.  Don't use it to write text.

Too many people are using AI to write posts.  It is easy to open up a post and in two seconds you see the same AI crap.  It is usually very short bullet points followed by a sentence telling us what the lesson was.

The moment I see that format, I close the post without reading it.  I make a mental note that the author was too lazy to think deeply about the messages they want to send out into the world.

Do I want to do business with someone who takes short cuts?  No.

And the lesson is, I am either an old curmudgeon or maybe on the cutting edge of a changing landscape.

I agree with that Greg Scott. I'd rather write my own lender product highlights, but for graphics! Lol....I could definetely use help! Which ones do you prefer?

Adobe's seems to generate better inages for my flyers but I like canva's overall platform? Better for designing flyers...so far...still taking way too long to make these flyers and social media ads.

since we're on the subject... have any of you used ai or trained an ai to search for certain data? I geek out over housing and economic data. I dont think ai is as capable when it comes to interpreting the data but....finding it for me...that would help! Any advice when it comes to that??

Hey William, honestly, the tools matter less than the workflow you use.

    What’s helped a lot is:

    - creating a few base templates (same layout, different content)

    - using AI mainly for copy and ideas, not the full design

    - and then just swapping text, images, and offers

That alone cuts creation time by a lot.

Also, for ads (especially in real estate/loans), I’ve noticed that simple performs better than overdesigned. Clean layout + clear message usually beats complex flyers.

Another thing that’s been working really well lately is short-form video instead of static flyers. Even simple walkthrough-style videos or motion-based posts tend to get way more attention and engagement.

You want to see what AI “marketing” looks like? Look at every crappy post on BP  that looks like a Google results summary. Lots of BOLD, lots of bullet points, and MUcH longer than it needs to be.

I can’t wait for the sloppy attempts to make AI look human when marketing geniuses find out we hate it as much as we hate automated phone services. Will it be misspellings, bad punctuation, they’ll have to throw in some cuss words.  It screams you aren’t important enough for us to pay a human, take the slop and buy more of our product.

Everyone can spot AI results but those who produce it pretend we can’t. It’s like when you can tell someone’s lying. But in their head all they think is.. These people are dumb, and I’m such a good liar.

For the ad copy and social media posts everyone is correct that AI does sound like they read a marketing book straight from 2005. I have been using AI a lot recently and have figured out a few things that helped. One is that different models do different things better and Claude seems to do much better than the rest at writing like a person. It's not perfect but seems to be better than the others I used (Grok is 2nd I would say). Another good thing to do is set up a system prompt or instructions as Claude calls them. It's basically writing out the personality for the agent you are using to do the writing - think of it like you're describing a person that does xyz job. The thing that seemed to help the most was spending a decent amount of time working with the agent you set up and it will learn how you want things written and start to sound like you or however you want the copy to sound. It's not perfect but once you work with it a while you can ask for 3 versions of the post you want and most of the time one of them will be pretty close and you will just need to tweak it. Can save you a lot of time writing each one all yourself.

You can do the same thing for interpreting the data and finding it for you. For finding data there are two ways I have done it. If you just want to ask one of the online AIs and not use a program on your computer, use Gemini, Grok or Perplexity — they all have live internet access and can do a live search for you across thousands of sites quickly. If you set up something like Claude Desktop, or Copilot if you're on Windows, you can set up an agent to search and scrape data from sites and save a file on your computer. Then have it combine all the raw data into a condensed file or just have it summarize everything to get the highlights.

For the flyers I have not done a ton with image gen models but the little I have done Nano Banana 2 seemed to do well for the flyer style layout with text or numbers on the graphic you're making. I use Flux.2 for making a few logos and it seemed to work well.

That was a lot but I'm happy to go into more about setting up a model for different jobs if you want. I have enjoyed learning about all of it.

Google Gemini's pretty good. I use it quite often for my promos/ads.
The trick is to get the prompt right, so what you could do is to ask it to generate a detailed prompt for your flyer, then paste that prompt back into Gemini to create it!

    Good luck.
