Hi BP Community, I want to set up a website for little money on my own domain. Can anyone recommend a basic free WordPress theme or template to start with? I want to find motivated sellers for wholesale deals and eventually have SEO, google adwords, PPC, etc.
Be careful. Many of those free themes come with viruses and malware and/or insert their own ads all over the place. Theme Forest has some real estate themes for about $50
You could create a website with wix for free.
I work with a guy in the Philippines who can whip up a great custom site for you in about 24 hours for about $100. You don't need to buy a theme, he already has plenty. Send a message through my website (see below) for his contact info. You'll still need to set up hosting. He will make recommendations.
Free websites are good with DNS, STMP, HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT experience with a great marketing and design team. In order to effectively prosper in your area of expertise, investigate custom solutions to fit your budget.
wordpress.org has many of the free wordpress themes. They also have many that you can purchase. your hosting company will probably have wordpress themes. my hosting company always sends me to wordpress themes when I install a site to my hosting.
im actually in the process of starting my own site also. anyone have any recommendations on which themes to use? i am a web designer and wordpress user.
@Glen Leatherwood I generally use paid themes. However, you can check out Elementor. It is a free drag and drop theme with the option for paid upgrades.
That said, few themes beat Beaver Builder or Divi by Elegant Themes.
It will walk you through how to build your own theme using Elementor for free.
Great for creating custom landing pages.
I'd recommend investing some money in your site eventually though.
Thrive Architect has a fantastic suite of themes and software in a big bundle that is quite powerful. State of the art opt in software, etc. Even membership site capabilities.
