Hello. I'm new to investing and just found bigger pockets. I'm excited to get started in my real estate investing career and I'd love to join a REIA in the area to start making some local connections and learning as much as possible.
Does anyone have a good recommendation for an REIA group in the Bay Area?

@Brian Armstrong -- Is there an REIA? oh man. you are in luck! @Johnson H. just posted about a meetup on the 10th in the City, and he's got one down in San Jose tomorrow. There's like 1000 in the area. J. M. hosts some pretty badass meetups in oakland. Look up Real Estate on meetup.com you'll see 'em all. We'll see you around the REIA circuit!

Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info. Here you will meet wholesalers who provide deals and all the cash buyers (rehabbers) you will need.
Consider checking out HUD homes for small multi's owner occupied gets first crack.
You might consider Niche or Specialized Housing like student housing. Rents can be 2-4 times more. Remember you don't have to own a property to control it.
