For those of you who brand your name/slogan in your target neighborhood - how can you track its effectiveness?
All marketing gurus are suggesting branding, but it is rather costly and probably not affordable for someone who is just starting out.
If you were to brand yourself, what would you brand - the name of the company (i.e. We Are Local Buyers Inc), headline (i.e. How to sell your house in this soft market even if you have no equity), website (i.e. www. YesWeCanBuyYourHouse.com) or slogan (We buy houses every day) ?
Or maybe a combination of several?
Sniper, I agree with jason. However, if you are buying business cards, or making signs, or doing stationary, you may as well have it be of a design that is consistent in color, copy, etc. so that it is pleasing to the eye and easy to remember. I wouldn't spend alot of time and money designing a logo, I'd spend that money on postage for your marketing piece. Good luck, Mike
I actually think that you are on to something. One of the things that we as real estate investors hope for most is referral business. And I think that by branding your name with a certain color scheme or logo or slogan can actually lend strength to the number of referrals that you get each year. In addition, if you think about it, it can also contribute quite a bit of credibility to your business and in the long run create a formidable veneer that both commands respect in your area and quite possibly shatters pesky objections.
The goal is to test. Try it and see if it works for you.
Furthermore, sometimes when we do what our competition isn't doing, we, effectively, stand out from the herd. And this can be an awesome advantage.
Agree with all of this. Establishing an identity graphically with colors and a slogan is one thing, but branding in the corporate sense is beyond what is necessary.
