Michael Quarles

I like messing with these jokers. If you have his phone number, a fun thing to do is post a fake free ad on Craigslist. I do this with prospective tenants that pull a no show/no call.

Free 1998 Ford Windstar
High miles
Some rust
Burns a little oil
Free to the first nice person that calls xxx-xxx-xxxx

After about 20 minutes, I like to call and inquire about the free van and hear them scream that it's a fake ad.

Good times.

...You know what they say Mike, today's "no" is tomorrow "yes."

Well Michael, all I got was a picture of an eighth note! But I get it.

Don't you follow up with a "If you ever change your mind" letter?

I prefer to deal with irrate people in person if I can, it's more fun using my polite verbal judo!

Michael Quarles That is absolutely hilarious and frightening all at the same time. I would at least put in a report with the cops. I'm no professional but his tone wasn't just angry there was a hint of true aggresion there. Definately going to get Google Voice. Rob K I almost spit my drink out when I read that. Luckily in life I've learned there is no good that comes from "getting even" (the big Man upstairs frowns on it too) and why waste your effort on something non productive when you could spend that time making more money? Still hilarious though.

That's pretty funny. I don't see any cause for alarm. Just some Joe that took out his anger on the last piece of annoying junk mail he recieved. Apparently the letter stuck out - win!

Sooooo, how would he react to the "lowball" offer? lol!

    Chris,

I find the clip freaking hilarious. In the SFBA, they just call us and request to be removed from the mailing list. We just calmly reply. "Yes, we're more than happy to that. What's your mailing address?"

Now we have their name and mailing address, we will evaluate their situation based on the NOD info. Then we would send them a personalized letter with a different agent's name in our office. They tend to cool off after they received a whole bunch of soliciting mails from other realtors. That's how you work it.

Michael Quarles, Thanks a lot for sharing that clip. That's classic.

    Minh,

In this scenario, they are not upset that they removed their info from one list and received multiple solicitations from other agents? Nevertheless, that is a great technique, thanks for sharing it.
