Hi Linda, for us it’s verifying rental history and employment directly. We recently had an applicant whose paperwork looked perfect, but their previous landlord reported unpaid rent and that the home had been left in poor condition. We’re also seeing more forged pay stubs lately, so we never rely on the documents alone.
