First out of state investment property- Mansfield, Ohio

Hi all, 
I have a property in Mansfield Ohio that I am looking at as a first out of state investment. I've never been to Ohio and wondering if Mansfield is a good place to invest and any potential issues I might run into.

Hi Anna, since you're considering investing in Ohio, I recommend looking into Columbus Ohio. As someone who works with a lot of out of state investors - there's so many catalysts for why you should invest here. Specifically, there's job growth (Intel, Honda, Amazon, Nationwide, etc) and the population is growing (unlike Cleveland or Cincy). I really see Columbus Ohio as an extremely safe bet for the next 10-20 years. Plus, there's still so many positive cash flowing and 1% deals here in Columbus Ohio.     Local is inflated prices, high property taxes and sky high insurance. Very difficult to cash flow at all.

    I hear you... but there are challenges in the midwest too.  Limited appreciation, old housing stock in need of major capex, population decline in many markets...

    Can you pick a market that's a couple hours away so the price point is lower, but you can be in-person and hands-on?

     Hey Anna,

    Born and Raised Mansfield Ohio, I personally own 15 units, completed 11 flips, have 5 Airbnb's. 

    I believe Mansfield is a hidden gem if you looking for cash flow now adays. You need to be carful with locations inside the city though not every location is ideal for investors. Send me a message about what you're looking at and I'll see if I can help you in anyway.
