help finding reasonable insurance for my rental units in California

Steve Shigenaga
Posted

My rental properties in San Bernardino county are being quoted insane insurance rates.  Last year I paid 5500.  My carrier is no longer insuring in CA.  The cheapest quote my broker could find is 12,500.  She tried CIG, Seneca, Honeycomb, Travelers, Amtrust, Mercury, Amguard, Scottsdale 14k, Westfield 14k.  Just curious if others in So cal are having similar experiences with your insurance rates.   These are two buildings 5+ units.
