I try to find an insurer for a property I bought through a Georgia C-corp. The insurer I contacted told me I need a social security number to be insured (which I have not, living in France). I don't know what is the rule ; presently for my two other houses in Georgia I found an insurer who didn't ask me any social security #, but it is expensive.
Has someone an idea of an insurer who could handle my situation ?
@Jean Paul Rousseau many insurance companies do not like out of state or out of the country owners. My out of country clients get around this by listing the local property management firm as the contact.
Also, commercial Policies do not require a SS #. It sounds like you are dealing with a personal lines agent who will have limit options for you as you grow.
