Standalone umbrella policies are not highly recommended or available. My recommendation is to check with who you placed the rental insurance with.
If that does not work, contact my office. We can write standalone umbrellas in all 50 states.
The reason it's not recommended is because what if there is a small liability claim that develops into a large liability claim? You don't get the chance to tell the primary insurer today and the umbrella insurer in 2.5 years when the claim fully develops. If the policies are with the same agent/underwriter, that fault is on them. If they are separate, that fault is on you.
