New Investor - Vacancy rate in Birmingham

Adriana Hutchins
Posted

I purchased my first property right at the beginning of the year and listed by the end of Jan '25.   The realtor I used is also a PM, so I kept the services with her.  The neighborhood is C/D, how long is it normal for the properties to stay vacant out there?

I want to start looking for a second property but I am concerned about how much longer it may take to rent.   I'm fighting a bit of anxiety :) but seeking advice from other investors.  Also if it doesn't rent in another month or so, I think i should reconsider moving with another PM provider.
