(Who Steals a Toilet?) Security During Remote Rehab

Any recommendations for security during a remodel to prevent theft.  I had a water heater and toilet stolen out of a project today.  I head "Dawgs" are good but some say they are a target because they know they are abandon.  Any type of security system I can use that doesn't require hardwired internet.  Thank you in advance.  Who steals a toilet?
