What did you do today? I spent time on Craigslist, Facebook and looking through the paper looking for deals.
I was supposed to go and look at (2) properties but the seller never called me back to finalize a time.
I made a dozen phone calls and left 10 messages. I talked to 1 person about (2) Non-performing notes he had for sale. Then I spent about 2 hours on BP researching Notes since I know next to nothing when it comes to knowing a deal or not.
I took my boys to a church carnival and played outside in the beautiful Wisconsin winter weather, sunny and 37° was nice!
This evening has been spent reading more BP posts, visiting a few facebook pages and getting all the information together on the properties I am going to call on tomorrow.
I know I couldve done more, but it was a productive and family balanced day! I love Sunday Fundays!

Slept in until 9, shower, dressed, and watch the recorded LA Kings game. 4-1 final made my day. Took wife and kids in the car to pick up Grandpa for a Birthday lunch at Gladstones in Malibu, kids played on the beach after the food. It was a beautiful February winter day at the beach with clear skies and 63 degree temp. (We have to get something back for all the costs we pay to live here!)
Then we all drove down the road to look at one of my properties in Malibu and have gramps the tour, then proceeded to show 2 more in Agoura. Dropped Grandpa back off, stopped at grocery store to pick up some food for Sunday dinner and am cooking and posting simultaneously. (Yes, you can call me a multi-tasker, been called worse.)
I also just realized that a possible record was just set today, my cell phone never rang once! What a great day it was!

I gotta be honest, I went to Church, came home and did nothing! Watched Courtney and Kim take Miami then went down to my gym and worked out. I pulled out the massage table and gave the whole family back rubs. Now I am sitting the theater watching the Oscars and surfing Bigger Pockets. Did I mention my 2 hour nap! LOL!
I like to recharge on Sundays. If ya ask me tomorrow, the answer will be a whole lot different. I pull some serious hours during the week. Anyone that says real estate investing is not work is pulling your leg, LOL!

Rob Gillespie Ill be swinging by your house next Sunday! Hahaha! I have a J.O.B. that gets in the way of working on deals during the week. I do however spend my lunch hours making calls. Most of my work day I listen to real estate podcasts. The evenings are playing with and taking care of my 3 boys. Then late evenings are either looking for more deals or doing more research by reading anything I can! Some day I will be to the point I do not need that JOB! Until then, must keep moving

LOL!!! Remember, I am pretty deep in the business. When I started, it was not like this. If ya like podcast, I will be on Joe McCalls podcast this week. Not sure what it will be about, I don't really know him or have not planned it, but he invited me to come on and record a few times, so I am finally gonna do it.
Hanging with your 3 boys is super important! I love hanging out with my kids too.
I spend my lunches working still. I really take about 5 minutes to eat and get back on the phone too.
Keep fighting the good fight, It will be worth it!

I did some project work for my employer that will help to free up time during the weekday for RE research. I also spoke with a RE contact that I had met at a local BP meeting for more than an hour.

After rolling the snow machine on Friday and smashing my foot, I spent the day in my recliner, my foot up in the air, wondering why you all werent keeping me entertained on BP!! :c)

Meditation class 8-9:30 am (I need to unwind from my crazy 6 day work week). Then grocery shopping. I usually do martial arts right after but I'm part of a monthly local Men/Father/Husband club where a bunch of us get together and talk about how to make our marriages and families stronger. But somehow the host didn't send out the reminder so there were only 2 of us. Left and looked at a house that a seller was supposed to call me about earlier and setup a time for showing (she never called so I'll have to follow up tomorrow). Figured since I was in the neighborhood (it was 5 minutes from the Men's meeting) I'd drive by and make sure it was a house and hood I liked. It was so that house will go on the list for this week to put in an offer.
Ended it like I do every week - Sunday dinner at Mom's.

8am--headed to the newly acquired and renovated rental property for some final 'fix it' items: repair window, connect gas stove, mount hand rail for basement stairs, pick up fridge, and meet guy who is building egress covers and ladders.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that it is our first real snow storm of the winter-8 to 10 inches. So nixed the fridge and the guy with the egress cancelled.
Day got worse before it got better:
Answered the question "What would happen if I accidentally drilled through drywall right into (live) Romex?"
Answer: If you hit the romex dead center, the drill bit shorts the circuit, lights go out, and your drill momentarily becomes and arc-welder.
Once again my father-in-law's words: "Your sawzall will become your favorite tool" rang true.
Finished installing railing, then ventured into the blizzard for a trip to Home Depot. The roads were fine, it was the 2 inches of ice on top of them that was a problem.
My 1982 2 wheel drive toyota drove like a champ--kind of real life version of the old Atari game Indy 500 - Ice Race.
Fixed electrical, and completed other projects and made it home in time to have pizza with my family.

We had a high of maybe 45. I spent time in a hot tub at the YMCA while I was reading a few books to include Diary of a Hedgehog by Barton biggs and another one by Eric Sprott on gold manipulation;)
I came home played with 7 year old boy then ate lunch Chicken Tika Masala bless my beautiful wife. Then walked my dog and spent rest of day online and did a few calls to friends.

Online Im studying prices of silver bullion I have this feeling its going to shoot upwards in a fireworks fashion here in less then 90 days;)
If I am wrong then Il keep buying like crazy if I am right I will sit on what I have and start buy another apt building.

Got up at 6 and went for an hour walk. Then got part 3 of my blog on "So You Want To Be A Developer?" posted on BP. (Took forever because I couldn't get it to format right, so finally decided to just post) Updated my website. We went to Huntington Beach and looked at several vacant lots so that I can look owners up. Cooked pulled pork for sandwiches, and watched Saddleback Church evening service online!
@Will Barnard, when we were in Huntington Beach it was kinda windy, great waves made beach views, beautiful!
Sounds like ALL of you had perfect Sundays... except for the injured one!

We spent the night at my parents, so they kept the kids occupied and let me sleep in. Had a leisurely morning with them, my dad and I headed to Lowes and then swung by and looked at a house for sale a few blocks from some of his rental houses. Nice older home, small, but on a good street across from a park.
I headed home around noon and ran the kids around to various parties and friends houses. So a busy yet fun day.

You do your starts in early March? Ive been in Alaska too long!!! We cant put em in the ground till Memorial Day weekend. I sure do miss the seasons. "April showers bring may flowers" doesnt work here. And by the time the lilacs bloom here, the Fox river whitebase run is long gone!

Woke up (finally after literally 4 years of wanting to wake up early to get my day started, I actually am)
Began to strategize on days activities
Chatted with my new Full Time Social Media/SEO/Web Designer in the Phillipines
10am to 6:30pm
Time with Family. With 5 kids, we had to start getting ready to leave the house at 10 for a 12:30pm departure. We went a Black History month celebration at the Hilton and then went to my 12 year old daughter's volley ball games.
6:30pm to 1am (and counting)
Following up with investors on my marina deal
Calling/Emailing investors to find an end buyer for our rented flip in Columbia, SC (we always have a tenant in place on the day we close because we choose our renter first, have them select a property from our specific list and on the day our renovation is done, the tenant is moving in)
Reviewing posts on BP, CREOnline, Facebook and Craigslist and doing some posting
Tomorrow much of the same but add a few investor meetings.

Missed out on this but i hope its not too late.
Woke up at 7:30 and went out for breakfast with my business partner. We made it a point to only talk business for a few minutes but were still able to layout a plan for the upcoming week.
Checked out BP and a few other websites until about 11. Answered a few e-mails and made 1 call to a potential investor.
Slept for 2.5 hours then went to the gym. Went grocery shopping after the gym and then ate a quick snack. Made a quick call to my realtor to check on the status of a few offers we had in.
Met up with my other biz partner around 4:30 and we walked through our latest deal that we just got under contract. Biz partner left to go start making some calls to contractors about putting in bids.
Went to the shooting range at 5:30 and relieved some stress while looking for a new handgun. Made a call to an agent I've been meaning to network with - setup a tentative lunch date for early March.
Went home and read a little bit of Steve Job's biography as well as Maverick Real Estate Investing by Steve Bergsman (love reading about Trump and the other big guys).
BP the rest of the night as well as email exchanging with a few potential investors.
Late, late night documentary watching on Netflix. For tonight I watched Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview. VERY interesting and inspiring documentary.
Definitely more real estate than I wanted to do on a Sunday but I have to make the most of my off time as I too still have a JOB. And, I have to catch up the last 9 months that a deployment stole from me, haha!

Matt InmanAh, to sleep in! I have 3 boys... so sleeping in is 6:30am! Though my middle boy is always the first one up and we have some quiet time just us 2 watching cartoons before everyone else wakes up. Precious!
