How to go about a joint venture with another wholesaler

If I am planning to jv (joint venture) with someone can I ask to see their purchase and sale agreement with the seller first before signing a jv contract? They are asking that I help to find a buyer and also help with the EMD (earnest money down) as well and I just want to make sure everything is legit before I get into any business with someone. Is there anything else I should know about jv'ing? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Of course, check the P&S agreement before signing any JV agreement. They shouldn't hide anything from you if you are doing business with them.

Always! Always make sure to review the initial contract before signing any other document.

Hi Ruth, they should be providing a JV agreement in this scenario and I think all the details on how the compensation is divided up should be in that document. Also, you can ask if they have a transaction coordinator that they are using for the paperwork, this person could be a good resource for clarification or questions on the contract.
