Typical Eviction Costs? & Chicago Eviction Attorney Recommendation

Hey all,

I'm about to have my first eviction. Can someone please recommend a good eviction attorney in Chicago? My traffic attorney recommended me a guy, but his fees are $2.5K and he says it'll be about $4K all-in. Seems super steep based on what people post here.

Please mention to Raj that I referred you. He has been handling many other cases for me parking issues, encroachment issues, HOA issues etc. as well as eviction.

    @Art M. is this in Chicago proper or in the suburbs? This matters because some attorneys won't handle certain court houses. I can send over several attorneys for you to speak with. For sure, 4k, is highway robbery. I would guess more in the 2k range for a good attorney. The process will take 6-7 months if the attorney is on top of it.

    He is reasonable. Just did one eviction with him today that took 2 months time in Cook County.  I retain him for all tenant issues in multiple properties that I own and he has always delivered results.

     Moved in, started making demands, hasn't paid rent yet (2 months), always partying pissing of my other tenants
