Short Term Homeowner's/Liability Insurance in California

Hello Group

I have a short term rental in the Santa Cruz area that I am looking to get homeowner's insurance on. It seems that most companies have left California. I am hoping someone on here has gone down this road already and can provide a referral or some tips.

Yes, they have been good in the past.
Neither will write on the property now due to fire hazard

This is a huge issue and if you are in the mountains - you may not get covered. Try to FAIR plan then get a wrap around

Have you tried Farmers Insurance? They gave me very competitive rates for my STR in Kentucky, not sure if they do CA.

I am also looking for CA insurance for STR. anyone have a referrals? Is it different then regular insurance?
