Airbnb is expanding grocery delivery through Instacart, and one option caught my attention: in Phoenix and Orlando, hosts who opt in can receive guests’ grocery orders and stock the fridge and pantry before they arrive.
I can see the appeal for families and guests arriving late—walking into a rental with breakfast already in the fridge would be a thoughtful welcome. But coordinating deliveries and putting everything away adds work, especially on turnover days.
I'm curious, Would you offer this at your rental? Would you include it as a hospitality perk, or only consider it if you were paid for your time?
Breakfast already in the fridge would be a great arrival perk. The tricky part is a delivery showing up after the cleaner has left. I’d only offer it with a confirmed receiving window and someone specifically paid to put the order away. Otherwise a nice extra becomes an unpaid second trip. Would guests choose their own delivery slot, or would the host control that?
