Hi,

I am high income W2 earner with stay home spouse with 3 young kids under 10. We have decided to invest in real estate. I plan to invest in Allentown and Bethlehem, PA. I would love to connect with anyone investing or working in these areas to form a team. I am looking for duplex, triplex or quadplex, with cosmetic repair/value add, 200-500k. Please feel free to reach out.

Thank you

Hi Ang, welcome, and congrats on jumping in.

One thing that fits your setup: with a high W2 and a spouse at home, look into real estate professional status. If your spouse genuinely runs the rentals (the IRS wants 750+ real, logged hours a year), the rental losses can offset your W2 income. Completely legit, but only with real work behind it, not a paper title. Worth mapping out with a CPA before you buy. Happy to help as you go.
