@Rob Schwartz,In my opinion, keeping a human in the loop for at least part of the process is still a good practice.I’d be comfortable relying on software for background checks, credit checks, or even income verification, but I’d still want to manually call references (e.g. past roommates and landlords) and show the property (which gives me a chance to interact with the applicant face-to-face) before offering a lease.

Highly encourage attending as many meetups as possible for biz & REI.

I would also encourage you to attend some meetups with local investors in Chicago.

While NH has implemented zoning changes and policies to encourage more supply to be built, there is still the fact which it is not known for major developments.
