Katie Linder-Jesse Lock-Off Units – More Profitable as One Large Rental or Two Smaller Units?
13 March 2025 | 10 replies
The previous owners left a lot of money on the table because they never offered it together, and those were some of the most valuable and longest bookings. The main issue we encountered was noise transmitting through the floor.
KEVIN FLYNN Soundproofing
4 January 2018 | 10 replies
If you have the money, i would do that plus add a metal z channel going opposite direction of the joists ( screwed on top of the existing plaster ) and then add another layer of drywall. the Z channel leaves a space that helps in sound transmission. the problem is the sound is transmitted through the existing floor joists too, so just the insulation will not do it because the joists are still against the ceiling. this is something similar, but in this picture they used clips in combination to hold off hat channel from the existing ceiling which will lower your ceiling about another inch.

Steve P. Rooftop lease questions
10 June 2018 | 1 reply
Hey guysI was approached by a Navigation company about rooftop lease space for an antenna to be used in collecting data for self driving cars, and drones. Its a small unit that receives & transmits data, part of it would be inside my building, and  I would supply the power.all the regular mumbo jumbo in the lease like access with 24 notice, and what not.Kicker is they offered $50 a month, I didn't even  bother to respond, I believe the guy searching for sites is just a hired sales man, he sounded scripted.Anyone in a rooftop lease out there that can share some advice, at $50 a month I wouldn't even consider it.Thanks

@Steven GillmerThe IRS/States normally require that you pay gradually throughout the year instead of all at once on April 15th.When we earn wages through our employer - the employer w/h's federal and state income taxes from us and transmits it to the IRS/State.This is the same with most state forms.
