While a condo comes with unique considerations as compared to a SFH or townhouse I would think more manageable than a multifamily for first purchase.

I have NEVER finished a basement but have had houses with finished basements done by prior owners.In the south basements and slabs are the norm as well as areas with high water tables.

We really like the idea of being in a mountain/cabin area, but I worry about being able to find vendors (cleaning, repairs, etc.) as there doesn't seem to be too many STR's in this area to compare to.
