Hi Christopher,I've used random real estate agents in the past when bidding on auction. However, they tend to be unreliable as they have no skin in the game, even though I paid them a minimum fee to "inspect" the property from outside as no inside access was available. If you do have interior access then yes, I'd recommend having your real estate agent do a complete walkthrough. In some cases you can ask the same form the seller agent as they are motivated to sell, but they won't do a complete and honest walkthrough, in my opinion as they represent the seller and not the buyer. you can however chose to use the sellers agent to become your buyer agent as well, although I wonder whether it's wise to do so.Good luck!
