It's not that they can't do it, it's that rental properties introduce things their seasonal staff often miss or handle incorrectly:Depreciation schedules — Getting the land vs. building allocation wrong affects your taxes for 27.5 yearsRepairs vs. capital improvements — One is deductible now, one gets depreciated over time.
