Asset management without knowing the ins and outs of property management is not a competitive advantage.To attract capital, when starting out, your goal is certainly to highlight your strengths, but it is also to cast a wide net and first get people to know you, then like you, then trust you. 

Needless to say,  this is also an additional business expense you will bear.If the above is acceptable to you and you've done your legal research to see what else is required, run your business how you'd like with eyes wide open.

I've found them to be very professional with wide investor connections, and probably one of the 2 or 3 brokerages with experience with these kinds of larger transactions. + for them having a heavy local Houston presence.
