Thomas Scott Looking to Connect with Wholesalers in Memphis

Hey Tommy — I’m local here in North Mississippi / Memphis metro and handle dispositions for off-market deals, so sourcing is exactly what I do.We have a lot of properties just across the state line in DeSoto County, MS — still in the Memphis metro, strong rental demand, and often better landlord laws and insurance rates. If you’re open to both, I can keep you posted on SFR and small multifamily deals that fit your criteria so you don’t have to spend your limited time chasing leads.Shoot me a DM with your buy box (beds/baths, price range, rehab level) and I’ll add you to my local investor list.

Since you’re looking for turnkey investments, I’d actually recommend focusing on single-family rentals (SFRs) in markets with strong cash flow and growth potential.Places like parts of TX, Birmingham, AL, Canton and Akron, Ohio, Columbus, Georgia, and Southaven, Mississippi offer great opportunities to buy well-maintained, turnkey SFRs that are tenant-ready and professionally managed.

Many investors in your shoes find that looking out of state for their first rental property is a smart move - markets like Akron or Canton, Ohio; Columbus, Georgia; Southaven, Mississippi, Birmingham, AL offer more affordable entry points with strong cash flow and growth potential. If you want to stay local, house hacking (like renting out a room or a duplex) can be a great way to build equity and reduce living expenses while gaining hands-on experience.Ultimately, the best approach depends on your comfort level with managing properties remotely versus locally, and how quickly you want to start investing.
