The deal is excellent in terms of DSCR, but I've been unable to find a lender who will lend on this property.

The lower entry prices and reduced competition definitely make it easier to acquire properties without overpaying.At this stage, however, my primary goal with house hacking is to remain local within Bergen and Passaic County so I can owner-occupy, closely manage the renovation, and build equity while living in the property.
