I have most definitely walked away from a property if the taxes were too high (although I've never seen a spread that wide).  

I'm in Harrisburg and looking for a standard 36" wide sink base cabinet that isn't particle board like all the ones at Lowes and Home Depot.

You have to have those wide beams on the big openings, otherwise you can make the opening smaller and place a smaller beam.

However this has a wide range of home sales ranging from $320/SqFt to $1,020.80/SqFt. 

And don't forget the state wide rent control.
