The fix is simple; re-seating the battery pack will allow it to function again for some bizarre reason.

It creates a layer of complexity to keep it functioning, your guests may not understand/like it, and I personally would not stay in a place with any kind of electronic device that *may* be used to monitor me.

Is the search function broken?

Use the lookup function and type in checklist.
