JD Martin Any news from investors on Ashcroft? Open Door? Curious how these REITs are doing
28 February 2026 | 6 replies
There are hard lessons to be learned when syndications fail (I started a thread about 4-5 years ago on this topic and the response was enlightening) (though I guess not enlightening enough because I have a lot of money tied up in under-performing, non-paying investments at this time).

I'm just starting out too, looking for my first investment here in the Poconos where I live,  and even though I have six figures of equity in my home here, and am making a decent income, I still feel like I'm paycheck to paycheck, with just a month or two of emergency funds.I saw a very enlightening video on YouTube about having most of your net worth in your home equity, that explained that that's about the *worst* place to keep it!

Dongzi Wu Outstanding Real Estate Solutions Scam (ORES)

It has not filed for bankruptcy. The creditors meetings haven’t been particularly enlightening for creditors wanting to know where their money went.At the first meeting May 26, Van Gundy told those listening roughly a hundred times that she didn’t remember, recall or know the answer when questioned. That meeting, also conducted by telephone, was cut short after Wilkins said Van Gundy had suffered two seizures during the proceeding. The meeting was reset to June 23 but it also ended early because she had a seizure, her lawyer said.

Bjorn Nielsen Have any of you worked with RETA/International Living?
26 January 2026 | 65 replies
I have found the RETA info to be really enlightening, the two RETA projects I purchased last year are already up $80,000 plus based on product hitting the market from the same development.I have talked to several developers and they all say the same thing, RETA/Ronan seems to be able to get the volume they desire and thus they are willing to pass on great pricing. So for me, I am happy to do my own searching/research, but RETA is another good resource for me.Like all deals make sure you do your due diligence.
