I used to do it in a spreadsheet but data entry took too long to do it properly, and scan and save receipts with proper naming, so I built a way to do it fast and easy.I take a photo of a receipt in the parking lot before I forget or lose it, assign it to a property and job, look at the schedule E's generated for tax time.
