All guests were asleep at the time, and the shots were not aimed at any bedrooms.The fallout was intense:Very upset neighbors (who already weren’t thrilled about the STR setup)Police involvementA $3,000 + Airbnb insurance claimA lot of questions from the ownerAirbnb temporarily suspended the listingSince reinstatement, the listing does not appear to be ranking nearly as well as beforeFast forward a few weeks:Airbnb insurance paid for all repairs in fullI smoothed things over with the neighbors and the ownerThe police report has been filed (shooter never found)The listing is back live on Airbnb and VRBOAll things considered, I feel like I dodged a bullet (no pun intended).
