    We'll see you there!

Thanks...I requested to join a different BP.com group on LinkedIn and wasn't aware that it wasn't the "official" one. I joined just now.

I just joined. Didn't realize that BP was on Linked-in.

The LinkedIn group isn't very active, nor do I expect it to be, given anything that could be asked/done there, can probably get a quicker response here.

Then again, it is a good way for all the BP people on LinkedIn to connect over there.

Has anyone had a modicum of success with LinkedIn groups? I don't ever go to them and was wondering if others do.

I don't ever see anything happening on the BP LinkedIn group.

I do quite well on Linked-in. Can't say the same for facebook or twitter.

Am now a member of the BP LinkedIn group. I know our agents LOVE LinkedIn and have been very successful there. I post to Facebook & Twitter daily and have not had as much feedback from the agents on these platforms... however... since the accounts and fan pages are still new and need to grow in size - I believe it is just a matter of time. Social Media is definitely a positive force not only for networking - but also for SEO.

The BP group is pretty quiet, but that makes sense considered the action happening here on the site.

Agreed...I have started several groups on LI and nobody ever posts on them. LI seems to be caught between resume site, Q&A site, Twitter wannabe, job postings, and a few other things. I used to spend a lot of time there, but the Q&A and keeping up with contacts is the only reason I go over there now.

I get a few leads from linked in, but it is generally through my contacts there and conversations in some of the active groups.

Often leads bring additional word of mouth contacts.

I have also taken to contacting individuals that have various services or skills that I am looking for. For me it helps to build referral partners as well.
