If anyone owns property in or around Gaston and Mecklenburg counties in North Carolina, I'd suggest doing a walk-through or have your PM do it if you're out-of-state after what happened last night!

We had some pretty bad thunderstorms that produced hail the size of baseballs along with some wicked lightning. All and all, the property I manage had 16 skylights that were damaged (hail went right through them) and a tree that was hit by lightning that had to be removed early this morning since it was blocking a major exit.

The weather in NC hasn't been so kind since I've moved here!

I knew there was an extra reason for selling our property in NC in 2008. The hurricane watching, freak storms, mosquitoes, fire ants and poison ivy all seemed like good reasons to look elsewhere. May have to shovel snow again, but it is mor normal weather!

I just got in. It's a mess downtown, like in the South Park area. Apparently Brentwood is bad too. Didn't make it up there. We only had one house that sustained over $5K damage. It is in Holly Springs where it is very clear that a tornado went through. Quite a few trees on houses along the Holly Springs Rd corridor from town north to 10-10 Rd. Tim's State Farm office has a blue tarp on it and the house next door had two cars and a truck smashed. I should have taken a picture....
