Should I get a brokerage license or just a sales license

Question

Right now I'm a wholesaler in Texas in a couple months I will be moving to Arkansas and after doing some research figured that it would be easier to get my license the but I don't know to just get a sales license or a brokerage license

Hey Julian, it depends. I got my re license to do my own deals and it’s kind of a burden because I don’t know the process as it’s not my full time job. Then I could get my brokers license but I’d have to learn even MORE just to save a little extra. The more you work the more work is needed to be done. Having said that, I’m dumb enough to probably get my brokers license.

It depends on what you want to do. If you want to keep wholesaling, I wouldn't get your license. Do you want to sell real estate? What value do you see in getting your license?

You have to be a salesperson first. After you have two years as a salesperson and the required education, then you can upgrade your license to a Broker license.
