Hello everyone, Me and my wife are planning to invest in Multiunit property(2-4 units, preferably fourplex) in San Antonio area. We will be doing long distance investing but are visiting the city to get some knowledge reading what areas should we be targeting. We want to target B/C areas. Our budget is up to 350,000. We have few questions:
1)Which Zip codes should we be looking at?
2)Any recommendations on property management companies?
We wound like to connect with any fellow investors currently investing in that area.
Congrats on your venture @Nitesh Gandhi, personally I look for multifamily in the Alta Vista, Beacon Hill, and Edison areas for value add. A bonus if the deal pencils out both on the long and short term. PM's that manage both on the long and short are few and far between, but there are a few in town that do a great job! In that price range I would recommend 78224, 78201, 78210,78244. San Antonio has a large footprint and many, many zip codes. I am really liking the south side right now. It has some pockets that are still rough but it is gentrify and business are now building in that area. I would also consider Schertz, TX 78154. it is adjacent to San Antonio, is still affordable, and feels like it is in the same city.
for context I own B and C properties. All of them have been BRRRR properties. I have a triplex in Schertz and I is our easiest property to manage now.
We self manage but we are working to get out of self management.
