My name is Eimer, my husband and I are currently on a posting in Indonesia and plan to return in 2026 to the Colorado area. We are interested in getting a head start on our "new lives" and want to get a few multifamilies in the US this year. Is there anyone on here that has experience with non-residents investing? I think if you are buying everything in your name you will be fine as long as you have a green card. If you are a non-citizen it may be tough on the lending side but I have never had to deal with that before. I know if you are buying as an entity as long as it is based here in the states you will be fine.

I'm looking to set everything up as an llc for now but that means me as a non resident navigating the path which looks a little different. I'd love to connect with someone who has gone this path before me and can advise a bit.

Yes, thankfully in the US it's very doable as a non resident and we will try to self finance our first property so as to avoid the higher interest rates from institutional lenders. I'd love to connect with an experienced out of state investor as I'm sure there are aspects I might be overlooking

How did you connect with partners in Israel?
Nope they are active partners. Some do different things like buy and hold, flip, wholesale etc........they pretty much do everything and I partner on the deals or go and manage a flip. Everything is set up on their end such as LLC etc.
I met most on fb. I've met one here. Now it's a word of mouth thing as they refer me and most of them work together
