For those investing in NJ - I'm being told that plumbing code says I am required to put washing machine hookups in both units of a 2 family that I am renovating. Is that true?
I called the city inspector and he said....
"AS PER TABLE 7.21.1 OF 2021 NSPC, DRAWINGS SHALL REFLECT PROVISIONS FOR ONE WASHING MACHINE PER UNIT"
@Rene Bee that is the national standard plumbing code he refers to 2021 NSPC (iapmo.org) Look at page 119 printed on the page or 131 electronically
I hadn't heard of it but NJ or local regulations may state you need hookups. They are worth putting in and you just upcharge if they bring them. It is harder to rent if you don't have laundry.
