Venturing in with 5 or 6 new and experienced investors

I came across a post by @Howard Manning regarding a joint venture with a few investors to give us a jump start in real estate investing. I would love to take part in such a project but @howard Manning is not located in Illinois. Here is the link explaining more of the project..
