Hello everyone!
I have just recently joined BiggerPockets and cannot be happier to be connected to such a vast amount of real estate investors. I'm currently a junior in college and looking to get a hands on experience in the real estate industry. Quiet frankly, I have very little experience, besides helping to buy/renovate/sell with a couple of houses during high school with my grandparents; but eager to learn more! I am willing to help anyone in my area (Janesville/Milwaukee, WI area) to help with any projects they have, for free! I just want the experience! If this interests anyone or know of anyone who may be interested, please help me connect with them.

Don't mean to burst your bubble Jason but one of the policies of BiggerPockets.com is to not ask for a mentor. Perhaps you should go back and reread the policy that you "read" and accepted prior to making this post.

Jason Meyers great attitude bud! Your willing to put in work to learn, that's awesome!!! I see so much just asking for a mentor because I am entitled and expect someone to take their time teach me for nothing.. it's always refreshing to see true ambition!
Oh and Ariou B. Don't mean to burst your bubble but if I had a dollar for every person who post on this site asking for a mentor, I wouldn't need real estate! I would be rolling in CASH!!!!

Thanks for replying so quickly! I didn't have intentions to ask for a mentor, just truly looking to work in the industry to gain experience that I don't have yet! I can read and learn for years, but until I put it into actual action it will mean nothing. That's what I'm looking for, someone who I can help and put my knowledge into action! Thanks for the help and guiding me!

Jason I think you'll have better chance of finding such person by attending real estate gathering in your neighborhood. And all I said was we should all respect BiggerPockets's guidelines and rules. That's it. If we are going to participate in the discussions and learn from so many experts on this site, we should AT LEAST follow the rules of this site and respect them, so no need to be bitter Joseph.

Ariou B. I was not trying to be bitter, just stating that there is a ton of people on the forums asking for mentors and not willing to give anything in return. And Jason was simply stating that he is willing to work for free to learn the industry and I myself think that is a great approach! If what he wrote is truly against BiggerPockets regulation, well then they have 1000s of people they need to talk to! But again not trying to be bitter and sorry if you took it that way!
