I am a 23 year old about to graduate (debt free!) from university next week, and will be a full-time RE investor starting July, working with a real estate start-up. With 40k in savings and living in a low-expense area in terms of rent and cost of living, how should I get started? I'm planning on house hacking using the first-time home buyers loan as many threads already suggested. Thank you!
Sounds like you've answered your own question. Make sure you research down payment assistance programs, FHA 203K loans, and try to get your closing costs covered by the buyer. You may be able to get into a place and get it rehabbed with no money or almost no money out of pocket.
