Greetings All! I've been watching Investors make money while I work to find them more properties to invest in. I'm a licensed Realtor in DC and have been selling in the DMV (DC, MD, VA) since 2001. I attended Dave Lindahl's Multifamily seminar last week and while I refused to buy his system, it got the fires burning so I'm ready to get my own projects going!

Nice to hear you have the fire burning inside to start investing, and the fact that you're a realtor is awesome. Major plus. I'm wondering though, I'm 22 years old and currently studying to get my license in Northern VA (Woodbridge). I'm assuming with you being a realtor for a while and working with investors, you would have the upper hand in getting investment properties right?
My goal as an agent is to work in real estate, get involved in the game, help others, but to ultimately have investment properties of my own as well, plus you have access to the MLS and have a good network surrounding you.
Are there complications of being a realtor to the point where its hard to acquire your own investment properties? Really curious

Hi Mike, best of luck to you on obtaining your VA license, in fact I was licensed in VA for 10 years but let it expire. I'm in the process of scheduling my state exam with PSI.
For me, there aren’t any challenges associated with being a Realtor and looking for investment opportunities. I think it actually helps when I think about all of the great deals that I’ve seen through years just by being out in the field. They’re out there!
