New Investor from NY looking to find a Partner or Agent

Hey Everyone,

I'm from Long Island NY, I'm 20 years old, and I've been researching rental properties for a little over a year now. I've been watching podcasts, youtube videos, reading blogs and forum posts, and I'm currently reading Long Distance REI Investing by David Greene.

The best plan of action I would like to take would be to follow the BRRRR method on a property in a different state, and try and find an undervalued home to renovate and refinance and repeat. I am not tied to this method, though. If the numbers show value i won't pass up a good deal.

I have been looking at a few areas, but I'm not entirely sure how to decide what area is best. I'm looking for homes between the range of $80k and about $150k.

If there's anyone from Long Island who has experience in long distance investing, I would love to possibly meetup and talk about your successes and failures and see if we could do some great deals together as I learn the ropes.

Any agents who may read this who's used to working with investors of this sort I would love to talk and see if we could do some business together. If you know a good contractor and property management company in the area that would be amazing.

I'm not going to go over the actual numbers in this post, but my credit score is pretty good and I have enough capital to start this on my own.
