@Amare Boyd I would recommend reading the book titled The Book on Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner. It is a great read for building the knowledge foundation for REI.

What do you do for work? A lot of new investors, myself included, use the house hacking strategy to get the ball rolling and pick up a property for low downpayment.

You should use your VA loan to purchase a property and house hack it.
