Hi! My names Rebecca. I've been in and out of job, trying to find out what I like. My friends are successful people in real estate, and it seems to be really working out for them. I have always questioned what would be a great career path for me. I am an outgoing, people- helper type of person. I live in the state of WA and I was curious with those who have experience, what books would you recommend reading, further steps anybody should take to get into real estate, and if there is anyone in Washington state who is currently learning, or is in real estate, I would love to talk with you!
@Rebecca Jurevicius, what do you mean getting into real estate? Investing, becoming an agent, leasing retail properties, finance/lender, property manager. There are many roles within real estate, so having a little more color on what you mean will help direct referrals and recommendations.
Oh sorry or real estate I meant understanding investing, and becoming an agent. I currently have a lot to learn. But I'm just just getting my foot in the door learning about investing and becoming an agent.
Congrats on getting onto Bigger Pockets that was definitely a right choice! I would recommend listening to as many BP Real Estate podcasts as possible, some must reads are Rich Dad Poor Dad. BP has lots of great books that you can find here. All of their books are great and whichever one you pick is going to be a great read. Try to join a local real estate group and reach out to some investors on here from your market. Good luck!
