@Charlotte Dunford It depends if the public utilities are close to the site. If they are it would be a matter of permitting with the city to connect to the City's utility system. If they are not, you will likely have to hire a civil engineer to design public improvement plans to extend the city's system to your site. I don't know what are you are looking at but around here you can estimate about $60-$80 per foot for public sewer and $80-$100 for public water.
