I'm a big believer in having your own website to find motivated sellers. That said, if the goal is to find as many of them as possible then there's no reason not to also pay other websites for quality leads.
What have your experiences been (if any) with online lead generation websites like http://webuyhouses.com? Here is a list of other real estate investment lead gen sites I've come across:

my biggest concern is what defines quality and at what cost are the leads... if it is just people that have filled out a form... that could mean you get a bunch of tire kickers just seeing what they can get for their home and aren't truly motivated.
I havent used any of the services you mentioned but would be interested to hear the results from those that have.

Guess it depends on cost and conversion rate. I'm sure some of the sites are significantly different from the others. How much are they typically charging? And what percent of leads turn out to be real?
Did you ever commit to one of these services? Many, many years ago, I subscribed to fasthomeoffers.com. I dont remember getting a horrible response, altough, I wasnt set up for success at the time. Im considering going back and trying again. Surprised to see only this one thread on the BP for them.

I just spoke with a man named ky or ki and i was told appx $850 for 10 leads a month and they don't charge for tire kickers. Seriously thinking about it.
