YOUR OPINION - Are Business Cards still relevant in 2017?

Hello BP world!

How do you guys feel about Business Cards?
I personally don't like them, and whenever I get them I throw them away. I meet so many people it's impossible to keep up with cards. I prefer to put your info right away into my phone.
However I feel awkward when I go to events and people ask me for my business card and I tell them to check me out on LinkedIn or to got to my website. Do you feel it is a necessity to have them or is it a dying form of information exchange??

You answered your own question... If you go to events and people are asking you for your business card, then they are still relevant.

I'm a Xennial (look it up), and I heavily use BC's.  I don't want to peck away at my screen while listening to the other person to give me their info.

The exchange is 2 seconds, and when convo is done, you write a quick detail on the back of the card.  At night, I scan them into Outlook using CardMinder and a ScanSnap.

I actually give out business cards by the box.  I buy them 10,000 at a time and give stacks to friends asking them to hand them out for me, and I also leave small stacks everywhere I go.  Cheapest advertising you can buy, around a penny each when you buy them 10,000 at a time. I like to call them penny billboards. I can't tell you how many times I get calls or lead forms where the client says someone gave them my card. The ones I give them are 1 sided with simple message:

    WE BUY REAL ESTATE

Any Price, Any Condition, Any Location

    We Can Help Any Situation

    website / phone number

On my personal cards they're more professional on the front, but still have that same ad on the back.

Also, if I happen to drive by a house that looks abandoned, yard grown up, etc, I'll stop and put one on the door.

I do have business cards. I generally hand them out to applicants when I'm showing properties. They use the card to get my email and fax number if they have to send me other documents for their application.

VERY relevant. It adds a level of professionalism and seriousness. If you want to make a better impression, have business cards on you.

I don't go through very many with where I'm at... but when I do give them out, I want them to leave an impression...

I love these raised spot gloss cards!!

Definitely. If someone asks you for a card and you do not have one it does not leave the most favorable/professional impression. I would agree that they are not used as much now but they are still a must have.
