I'm the seller and want to find a way out of selling my home to the buyer. Can a purchase agreement between a buyer and seller be deemed non-binding if the contract was signed after the date and time stated? The request to extend escrow was never signed by the buyer either.
I've come across this before in regards to deadlines and have actually had attorneys get involved.. Its a surprisingly gray area.. I had a higher profile real estate attorney tell me that if both sides are attempting/making an effort to keep a transaction going, meaning signing documents or other things to show initiative, then the deadlines don't necessarily matter.. I'd definitely contact an attorney near you.. Something like the buyer NOT signing an extension could break that chain of mutual effort, but again, contact an attorney and/or your agents broker
