I am considering bringing a realtor onto my team to help homeowners who want to list their property with a realtor do that.

Realtors: If you had an investor who was consistently giving you leads and you were closing 1 per month, what do you think would be a fair way to compensate the investor?

Fee? If so, how much?

% of commission? If so, how much?

Any other way?

@Ben Gabin ifni were an investor that could funnel one on market sale per month, I would get my real estate license and make the 3% commission myself.

@Ben Gabin What Charlie said... If you have your Realtor license then I would ask for 25-30% referral. Otherwise any kick backs are illegal.

@Ben Gabin I know most people are starting to get your real estate license but one thing to consider is that if you get your license and even if you are not a practicing Realtor, you must disclose to everyone which includes any marketing materials (direct mail, signage, website, Facebook/Instagram ads, etc) that you are a licensed Realtor. Yes there are perks to being a Realtor but also held to a higher standard of ethics, even if you are focused on the investor side of things.

@Ben Gabin calling around to investor friendly brokerages is a good way to start.  In addition to just listing deals for your leads they Realtors should have access to deals that may interest you so this should a win win!
